The Rib-eye Philly Cheese STEAK Challenge | Ft. Kosmos Q
I’ve never been to Philly. There I said it. But I do know a thing or two about some Philly cheesesteak! Back a few years ago I had a food truck that actually was ranked among the most popular in the country! We were out there hustling and cooking our butts off for the good people of Oklahoma City. One of our staples was the Philly. Now I like my Philly with a little bit of cheese whiz, but not Wes. That man loves his provolone cheese. So we decided we would try them side by side and have the best of both worlds. If you ask me they both were lights out amazing. Check out our recipe below and make these for yourself.
Ingredients:
-2lbs of thinly sliced ribeye. (cap on if you can find it!) Asian markets will typically have this in the meat department for Pho recipes.)
-Kosmos Q SPG Rub (or your rub of choice)
-Butter
-One Green Bell Pepper
-Some thin-ish sliced onions.
-Some beautiful rolls for the finished product.
-Some jalapenos
-A jar of cheese whiz
-a few slices of provolone cheese
Recipe:
-Get the veggies all sliced to perfection and heat the griddle up!
-Butter the griddle so the veggies don’t stick and get them started.
-You want to cook the veggies until they’re soft, but don’t overdo it.
-The sliced ribeye will cook faster than anything so get it on the grill and season it well right away and get to chopping.
-Slide your veggies all the way to one side and turn the heat down to keep them from cooking.
-Steam your rolls/buns over the grill.
-once the steak is finished, incorporate the veggies and then add your provolone. (You’ll add your cheese whiz after the sandwich comes off the grill. We recommend watering it down just a touch as you warm it up in the microwave.)
-Get both sandwiches loaded up, cut them in half if you’re cooking for a lightweight, and get down to business.

Going to Vegas a coupla years ago we had a stop over in Philly on the way there ,had a Geno's phiilly cheesesteak and it was mediocre at best. On the way back we Had a cheesesteak from chicky and Pete's it was waaaay better

I'm an airline pilot for my day job and I spent about 8 months based in PHL last year. I ate so many cheese steaks from the airport Geno's the cashier and I were on a first name basis and she knew my order (my wife called her my cheese steak mistress) but these look every bit as good as the real thing! Great Video!!
Now, that is a great sandwich. I've only been there once, but tried nine different sandwiches in one week. Because of the sandwich reputation. The philly that I had from hotel catering was better than all the other eight recommended places.
And the sandwich you made looks better than all of those. That looks good. A philly cheesesteak sandwich is usually just something to cram into your face on the way to go to a game.

GENOS cheesesteak WIZ WITHOUT!!!! Born and raised in philly. And yeah your right there not my favorite but damn there good. All locals have there preferred cheesesteak place. But I’m sorry nobody can cook a Philly cheesesteak better then someone who lives in philly. It’s the bread we have that really makes it. Has to do with the chemicals in our water but I’ll be honest yours looked amazing
