Operating and Cleaning a Spit Roast BBQ

Using a spit roast BBQ is the perfect way to cater to (and entertain) large groups of people at all different kinds of functions and parties. Cooking Instructions:

1. Open the spit, then place a layer of aluminum foil over the drip tray, this may cause the spit easier to clean afterward.

2. Prepare meat (e.g., clean, remove excess fat, add salt & seasoning).

3. Fix the meat by passing the shaft along through the center of the meat you want to cook.

4. Secure meat within a position with forks provided.

5. Insert rod correctly into the rotisserie.

6. Turn the gas on and lightweight the gas burners using a lighter.

7. Startup the motor and turn the engine on.

8. Make sure the meat is rotating on the shaft without slipping. Once secured, close the lid. Adjust the burner knobs until you find the correct cooking temperature. The temperature gauge is on the front of the cover.

9. After the meat is cooked to your liking, turn of the gas bottle, turn over the gas burners, and close down the rotisserie motor.

10. Let meat rest for a few minutes.

C. Remove the electric motor at the end of the spit and place it away and keep it from getting wet.

D. Using warm soap and water and a soft scourer sponge, scrub down the interior and exterior of this spit, fat reduction shaft.

E. Once the spit is clean, hose or rinse the spit with cold water

F. Permit spit to air dry and reassemble the machinery.
