WHY CAN'T I BE YOUR WIFE? I'd get yummy food every day without doing anything… Q_Q
Seriously chef where do you want me to find Spanish mustard and whatnot precolonial cherry vinegar thing… Can you make a recipe with something that I actually have in my fridge (a old coke bottle, a rest of pizza, and ketchup) ?
do you have any restaurant to go?
in what way was that directed at me…? i was being sarcastic.
@bradleasays Yes because tortillas automatically classifies something as Mexican *sarcasm* get over yourself and pay attention to what he says BEFORE commenting
"I call it spanish mustard, because it's got a couple of spanish ingrediants. Plus, I couldn't think of another name." watch the entire video next time before you comment and make a fool of yourself.
You are truly an awesome person.
Mouthwatering
i wanna see his wife
Chef John is my mothafuckin nigga.
no salt ?
right, because putting meat on a tortilla means it automatically HAS to be authentic mexican food. get over it.
can you sub a different vinegar?
@epicC4011 spain is the biggest producer of olive oil in the world… and belive me … we do love dijon mustrd
You can re-name is to Franish! Is there no spanish mustard out there? Hmm… I gotta get me a grilldo.
@Karmara7 It isn't Spanish anyway, don't worry. (Btw yes, I'm Spanish)

Cook that meat properly ffs.
Could I use this on regular filet mignon and just eat it like a traditional steak?
@WIZARD3193 so u drool at blackness? u must be uncontrollable at night XD
@willyham72 thanks for sharing that tool
Dude, you are CRAZY. Chef John, one after the other – amazing things. I am supposed to be watching Worst Cooks in America (for the redhead, of course!) but, instead I am combing through your catalog. Wicked awesome. Now I want to go to Cambridge Culinary in Boston. I am inspired. Always wanted to.
i think carne asada is usually flank steak
My grill is covered in fungus :S not fun
I cant get the spanish vinegar, what do u reccomend for a substitute?
Looks great, the meat as your slicing, juicy and flavorful.
im scottish and i smoke loadsa weed and man is this guy funny and a good cook
ive had this at spanish restaurants but im telling its delicious .
i think its thinness of the meat that make me eat more of it LOL
but the spices are just great
@forrestgumby it does look and sound good, I'm just saying that the corn tortillas and cilantro don't mesh all that well with it..
@pmharl Take everything after "watch?v=cmGbWw-s1Zg" out. That'll get rid of that annoying bar.
@Coldworld26 That could open up a whole new cooking section for chef John. "Cooking with extinct/ endangered species" lol
@Karmara7 Just because you put some meat and things in a small tortilla like chef John did doesn't necessarally make it a taco. He never said it was or was like it. But whatever it is, it looks soooooo good!!!!!
how about potato salad chef,be waiting thank you so much
@Karmara7
He never said he was making Mexican food. If you're thinking of fajita's, you should know that fajita's aren't really Mexican. They originated in Texas. Besides who cares? If it looks good, eat it.
@Karmara7
who cares, as long as it's delicious?
Am I the only one who understands that there is a difference between Spanish and mexican food. Why the hell would you make a taco out of it, and CILANTRO? Why? Tacos are mexican and none of those ingredient should be in a marinade for taco meat.
At 2:00 looks like a trilobite. A delicious, bbq'ed trilobite.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
