4th of July STRAWBERRY BBQ Marinade Grilling Barbecue Sauce Recipe

This bbq / barbecue sauce recipe uses strawberries as a base for a thick, bold and zesty all purpose BBQ marinading and grilling sauce. Can use on meats, seafood, vegetables, pasta and salads. Wonderful strawberry flavor! Enjoy.

Homemade 4th of July Strawberry BBQ Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
4 cups strawberries, hulled (if they are large cut them in half)
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons strawberry preserves/jam
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 chipotle chili in adobo, minced – OPTIONAL
1 tablespoon garlic, grated
1 tablespoon ginger, grated
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp dijon mustard
2 tablespoons parsley or cilantro, chopped

Directions
1.Place the strawberries in a single layer on a baking pan lined with
foil folded up on the sides to capture the juices and roast in a
preheated 425F oven until they start to caramelize, about 15-20 minutes.

2.Bring everything except the parsley/cilantro to a boil, reduce the heat,
simmer for 15 minutes, remove from heat, mix in the parsley/cilantro and
puree in a food processor or blender or using an immersion blender.

Store in refrigerator. Can freeze or can.

Use on meats, seafood, vegetables, pasta, salads, etc…

Enjoy.

  • Tess favorite flavored barbecue sauces often combine both fruit and a spicy element. This recipe uses strawberries which I think is unique, and a spicy element. I believe the overall final product should work great on just about any kind of meat that you might want a barbecue.
