This recipe is a pain in the ass merely because artichokes are a pain in the ass.
It’s called Artichoke coz it’s taken from the Arabic equivalent Ardi Shawki أرضي شوكي
Shawki means full of thorns referring to the harsh peaks of the vegetable (leaves) that might hurt or cut your fingers when touching them 🙂
Does a method to prepare the leaves exist? Or are they totally inedible because they're so fiberous?
You WASTED all of those leaves that are edible and complained …it was waste !

I grew up eating artichokes – in their entirety (except the ‘choke’ ?). All those leaves.. gone.. My soul is crushed!!! ???
