Roasted Cauliflower Recipe

Roasted Cauliflower is probably one of the best way to cook cauliflower as it is extremely delicious and addictive. In this way even those who say they don’t like cauliflower might change their mind. Roasting the cauliflower intensifies the flavor and caramelizes the edges which makes it sweeter and really really irresistible.

Ingredients:

Makes about 3-4 servings

1 head cauliflower
3 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
lemon juice from half of lemon
1/2 tsp chilli powder or chilli flakes
3 garlic cloves, minced (optional)
2 tbsp soy sauce
salt and freshly ground black pepper

Directions

1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F 220C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Wash and chop cauliflower into florets and place in a large bowl.

3. Pour olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice and sprinkle spices over cauliflower. Toss with your hands to coat well.

4. Place cauliflower florets in one layer on the prepared baking sheet.

5. Roast until tender and lightly browned, for about 35-40 minutes, stirring from time to time. Serve hot along egg, your favorite meat or simply as a snack.

  • I think 425 (220) is too high to be cooking with olive oil, I suggest an oil with a higher smoke point like cocunt oil or avocado oil, could also use tallow or lard 😛

  • I like the addition of lemon juice and soy sauce! Other recipes I tried have been too dry. Also, a great tool to have is an oil atomizer/spray bottle which helps distribute the olive oil more evenly. Also, a little bit of cumin can be really good, and don't add the garlic until there is only 10-15 minutes left because otherwise it will burn.

  • I just made this! I didn’t have turmeric, so I added a little cumin and a sprinkle of ginger powder, but did everything else exact the same. Cooked for 40 minutes, at 425F.
It came out AMAZING! I love it! ❤️

  • I forgot about cauliflower bites. Haven't made some in a really really long time, I used to love them a LOT! I served mine with ranch dressing I think. I'm going to have to go out tomorrow to get some cauliflower. I'd like this recipe I bet. I put this video in a playlist RECIPES SUMMER 2019

  • Just made it! Really delicious 🙂 Try mixing the seasoning and the olive oil first before mixing it with cauliflower, it's more simple that way

  • This was tasty, my family ate it all. Only next time I might skip using baking paper since it went all soggy, maybe I had too much lemon juice/liquid. Lovely just the same 🙂
