HOW TO MAKE SPICY GRILLED CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS | CHICKEN LEGS RECIPE | GRILLED CHICKEN INDIAN STYLE
Ingredients for Spicy Grilled Chicken Drumsticks Legs:
Organic Chicken Legs (aka drumsticks) – 4-5
Marinade:
– Curd/Yogurt- 2 tbsp
– Oil (mustard) – 1 tbsp
– Garam Masala powder- 2 tsp
– Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
– Red Chili powder- 1 tsp
– Ginger Garlic paste – 2 tbsp
– Salt – to taste
Garnish:
– Red onions – diced
– Cilantro – chopped
– Cilantro chutney
Preparation for the grilled chicken drumstick recipe:
Chicken – Wash and dry the chicken legs. I have used organic chicken with skin on. The skin makes them juicier but optional. Make deep cuts in the legs for the marinade to penetrate.
Marinade – Crush ginger and garlic to a coarse paste. Mix red chili powder with oil and make chili oil. Mix that with the ginger garlic paste, yogurt, garam masala, turmeric powder, and salt.
Pour the marinade on the chicken. Rub to coat both sides of the chicken legs with the marinade. Ensure that the marinade penetrates each cut on the leg. Set aside for 2-4 hours to marinate.
Process.
– Pre-heat the grill
– Brush the grill with some cooking oil
– Once hot, place the marinated chicken one beside the other. Keep on high for around 3-5 mins to develop grill marks.
– Turn them on the other side & continue the same on the other side.
– Keep basting it with the leftover marinade and oil
– Lower heat to medium & turn the pieces again to cook for another 4-5 mins on each side.
Once cooked plate them and liberally sprinkle the garnish on top. Serve them with Cilantro Chutney. This is the best juicy spicy grilled chicken recipe I have
