Perfect Grilled Pork Chops are actually really easy to make. Choose the right cut, add some seasoning, and grill the best pork chop you’ve ever had in your life!

INGREDIENTS

4 bone-in thick center cut or rib chop pork chops
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Heat an outdoor grill to high heat, about 500 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Prepare your chops by rubbing both sides with olive oil.

3. In a small bowl, stir together paprika, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle the mixture on each side of the pork chops and rub it in.

4. Grill the chop by searing each side for 2 minutes over the high heat. Remove the chops to an upper rack or to a spot with indirect heat to finish cooking.

5. Reduce the burners to medium, close the lid, and cook for about another 15 minutes more. Actual cooking time will depend on the heat of your grill and the thickness of your pork chop. Pork needs to be cooked to an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.

6.Let rest 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

  • The best way is to use pork steak. They’re chops but thinner. Cooks quicker, and lots cheaper.

  • I would be careful on using extra virgin olive oil because it has a 375 degree flash point. Most olive oil burns at about 400 degrees. Avacado, grape seed oil may be better.

  • Just cooked this and subbed! Great chops. I only added a couple of things…. smoke bomb with hickory chips and foil and for the last five minutes per inch, I add some BBQ Sauce on top so it would infuse the flavor. Hickory flavor BBQ on a gas grill……Awesome!!!!! thanks for sharing!!!!

  • I have to say, as I was watching this video I was somewhat skeptical on the simplicity of the recipe. But from a guy whose made pork chops over the years and they are tough every time, these pork chops came out perfectly! Thanks!

  • Those look delicious. Would you ever consider using a brine to season and keep the chops from drying out?

  • Question:  Step 5 says:  5. Reduce the burners to medium, close the lid, and cook for about another 15 minutes more. Actual cooking time will depend on the heat of your grill and the thickness of your pork chop. Pork needs to be cooked to an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.

I guess that means you do NOT turn them, in that 15 min. period.  Is this correct?Beth
