Basic Pork Rub | Spare Rib Rub Recipe
I am starting this year off with a series on rubs. From pork to beef to chicken rubs. We start off with a basic pork rub recipe. Enjoy!

1/4 cup smoked paprika
3 tablespoons black pepper
3 tablespoons coarse salt
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoon celery seeds

Thank u for ur video but a 20 min pressure cooker (after coold own, marinade meat for 24 hrs) will degrease the final baking time to 10 minutes and guarantees a tender piece of meat.

Personally I think too many people overthink recipes especially for ribs or pork butt. Keep it simple, use your favorite wood and don't sweat it because it'll taste great!
You lost me when you didn't use fresh cracked black pepper.

I like sweet and smoky. I used your recipe, except no kayane and added more brown sugar. Turned out great for my first time smoking ribs, the neighbors loved them.
