As fellow meat lovers, we applaud you! Beyond Meat is NOT telling people to stop eating meat, they just want to offer a really delicious alternative to meat by constantly striving to make their product better. In fact, I consider them meat scientists. I too am a bit of a scientist and I love to make products that I love the best they can be as well. So as you can see with this much in common we just had to give these a try to see what they were like! Did they do it? Have they created a true meat alternative?

Best I ever tried was Isadora's Go Nuts burgers…..produced by a Vancouver, British Columbia restaurant. They are actually made with fresh ingredients, unlike this bullshit stuff…and were fabulous, as a vegetarian burger.

You gotta wonder how much this company is paying people…esp fast food outlets…for trying to shovel this shit to ordinary people. My guess is that this company will fail miserably…and it's just a matter of time….once the money runs out.
Sorry…but I can't stand that shit. I sold it back in the day, when I had an organic food delivery business. It really hasn't changed at all. It's overprocessed / hyperprocessed crap. The part they don't tell you is how much they heat the protein source to extract what is essentially goop squeezed from a tube…to create this crap that they call "plant based meat". It's unhealthy junk …that ethical vegetarians eat because they're blind to the shitty health benefits. If you want to switch to a plant based diet, then make yourself fresh burgers with fresh ingredients, whether lentils, nuts, good quality oil…and so on. This is basically faux vegetarian crap with msg added.

We had some vegan sausages last year. We cooked them up alongside the good stuff just to try them. They were disgusting. The texture was foul, the taste was foul. They all went in the bin.
