So bad. Now your steak is a lot dryer than it should be. The fact that you would put a sugary rub on a steak like that shows your rookiness. That was a beautiful steak. Unfortunately I think you destroyed it.

If it was a Kobe wagyu you can get away with cutting it into bites and quickly searing around it. Not that beautiful porterhouse. If your going to remove the bone do it before you start cooking. All that juice came flying out.

Looks amazing and I'd really like to try it. But I don't have your rub and my broiler doesn't work. Any ideas on either?

I didn’t have everything for Bobby’s rub so I just used a McCormick Applewood spice rub. Just used regular butter when I put it in the oven bc didn’t have everything for that either. It was still great! Sear was amazing and when it was done l could literally cut my steak with a butterknife.

When he started cutting the steak, it hurt my feelings. Haven't been this upset in a while.

I would have only used regular butter. And continually baste the steak with it.
Green stuff should never touch a steak.

I dont like this method. Maybe if you presented it as an alternative way to change up a steak preparation.

Bobby I tried this recipe and it's amazing. Cutting the steak didnt effect the tenderness or the juiciness of the at all. This was actually one of the best steaks I've ever cooked. A DEFINITE MUST TRY!!!! ☆☆☆☆☆
