SIZZLING CRISPY PORK SISIG | PORK SISIG RECIPE



Sisig is one of the most famous dishes in the Philippines, near to almost every Filipino’s heart. This is made from parts of pig head, pork belly, and chicken liver. It involves boiling and grilling, in this recipe i made the easiest way to grill using turbo broiler. The meat is chopped into small bits and the rest of ingredients added. Serve in hot sizzling plate pair with rice or as a beer match ( pulutan ).

INGREDIENTS:

For boiling pork belly, ears and face:

– 520g pork belly strips
– 970g pork ear and face
– 1/2 tbsp salt
– 1 teaspoon pepper corn
– Water ( just enough to submerge the pork )

– 520g pork belly strips, grilled
– 970g pork face and ear, grilled
– 280g chicken liver, seasoned with salt and pepper then grilled
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
– 1 large onion, diced
– 1 green chili pepper, chopped
– 10 tablespoons lemon juice or calamari juice
– 2 tablespoon mayonnaise
– 1 teaspoon butter ( for sizzling plate )
– 1 raw egg

For garnishing :
– onion, diced
– red chili, chopped
– onion leaves, chopped
