  • Next time take your lemons and just rub em on the upper part of the basket to get the remaining seasonings. Just a positive tip. Thx!

  • Man, me and the boys at work have been talking about having a low country boil when it warms up (up here in Maryland). Excellent, informative video, and that shrimp looks amazing.

  • Hey Rus. Just curious as to how many pounds of shrimp you’d normally use for a pot this size.

  • I need to add some crawdads, crab legs, clams, mussels, and lobster to that scrimp boil.

  • sausage ruins the taste of seafood with a greasy smoky taste that is bitter. boil sausage in another pot separately. 4 bags of crab boil and and entire bottle of Zatarain liquid??

  • I’d just get boil mixture and freeze it in silicon muffin tins, and use that to cool it down. No water waste, no watery boil

  • If I cut your recipe in half and only use 10 gallons of water should I use only half the ProBoil, or does it matter, the label on the back of the 3lbs Proboil is for 6 gallons of water? I have all the other ingredients too (cut in half). Loved your video so much, you made this Northern boy go out and buy the pot and all the fixings. I;ll be using frozen crawdads and frozen shrimp but fresh corn- Never made this before hope it works!

  • Just made this in smaller scale and I gotta say it just made my favorite list! I used 2.5 gallons water with 2 lemons 2 mandarin oranges, 1/2 to 3/4 cup purée onion maybe 10 garlic cloves. 2 bags zatterans crab boil and 1 small bottle zatterans liquid seasoning all the other ingredients scaled back. Wow thanks for the recipe. I cooled with a bunch of ice at the end then let it all soak about 10 minutes

  • I’m doing this at home on the stove.. I don’t have access to ice, so is there another way of cooling you’d recommend, aside from adding cold water in to the boil..?

  • Hell yeah brother! That’s how we like it over here in south MS! Gotta have that seasoning I doubt. Love that spice.

  • Everybody doesn't need me to tell them that you know what you are doing.   But I followed this recipe exactly the same way, except for I used a different brand of spices, added Onions, and cooked in a big pot on the stove.    I have to say, It is one of the best things I've ever eaten.   Seriously!!   I wrote down the outline of steps while I watchedthe video, so it's easier to remember.
