Baking rainbow trout in foil packets helps the fish cook perfectly. While they bake, juices form at the bottom of the packet. This is delicious when spooned over the cooked trout when serving. Other ingredients to consider adding to the middle of the fish are thinly sliced garlic, onion, or greens (like spinach). We also share how to fillet your trout after it is done baking. It is really easy!
How to Make Grilled Trout: Follow the directions in the video to make each packet. Heat grill to medium-high heat. Place the packets over indirect heat. Grill 10 to 15 minutes, or until cooked through.

Come on now don’t forget to mention the temperature
My mom literally makes a fish with a diff recipe extremely similar to this
SLOW DOWN
Thank you
Nice! this is how my father in law taught me. I'll be making it today. Thanks
Super video. This is my kind of cooking 🙂 I've also tried this with salsa instead of lemon.
Just caught some fresh trout this weekend, this will be dinner tonight!
Thanks that looked easy about to try it
I just cannot keep the heads on something about the little guys looking at me after I dispatched em makes me uneasy but yeah this is exactly how I was taught to cook and serve trout. Sadly I saw too many vids where the skin and 1/3 of the fish was wasted from filleting before cooking. This is the best way!
do you eat the skin?
Great Job!
I have a question…. Portsmouth F.C?? I'm surprised.
Thanks for the recipe! I also like fish, there are many other recipes in my account, try this REALLY TASTY and HEALTHY recipe too!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxihBSvI7mk&feature=youtu.be
Thank you very much. I've been baking Trout in foil for a long time, but a;ways had difficulty filleting it. Your method is very simple, and worked perfectly. Only one complaint as I have with all American food videos, temperature. You should give the temp' in C as well as F. 400 F is 200 C.
My neighbor just brought over a bunch of trout he caught. Thank you for making this so easy and simple. Looking forward to following these instructions and making the trout tonight for dinner.
Yo this shit was mad littttt🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I use the canna butter and fucked my self up pretty bad. The fishy was amazing tho, got it fresh down the river. My fishy shit was pink meat tho?!
Thank you for this video. I caught three fresh rainbow trout and after learning how to clean them I watched your video to cook it and absolutely nailed my first attempt. In your video it would have been helpful to know what temperature to have the oven and a description of what the fish should look like after the first 10 minutes of cooking and the final check conditions to know it was done. All it all I appreciate the time you took to explain the process and because it I had three tasty trout for dinner.
For everyone wanting to know the temperature: 400 degrees. I went to their website and checked for you.
Temperature?
or 220 Celsius
what temperature would be nice.
What herbs did you use… I see dull and cilantro but what was the other one… in the recipe you say parsley but that doesn't look like parsley
great video , no bs or too much garbled, fast talking, and the way you show how to deal with the bones is PRICELESS ! Thank You !
Eat the head, it's one of the best parts. I personally love the eyes lol.
Cute how you two upload as brother and sister!
You guys nailed it, I love this recipe. Baked trout is a regular go to for us. Thanks for sharing!
making it tonight Thanks guys !!!! Oven at 400
High in Omega 3 fatty acids. Great for your heart, and keeps cancer at BAY
Brilliant.
i dont like sealing the fish in foil it makes the meat to soggy
Why didn't you say what temperature ??????????????????
