How-To: Brine & Cook Pork Chops

Have you been asking yourself when the ultimate brine video is coming to MUNCHIES? It has arrived. Watch Cara Nicoletti, a butcher at Foster Sundry in Brooklyn, explain the ins and outs of dry and wet brining a pork chop.

While Cara prefers a dry brine, it never hurts to master both. This technique will leave you with an incredibly moist (sorry if you hate that word) chop. Pork chops will never get a bad rap again!

  • Loved this episode! Hope we see more of her – dry brining my pork chop as we speak

  • so are you supposed to cook it with all that salt and sugar still on it?

  • Should brining always be done, or only when the cut is as thick as the one here? I've seen a lot of recipes where they don't even mention brining.

  • This bitch has no idea what she’s talking about lol could you say like anymore if you tried? Wonder how you got this gig because it has nothing to do with your knowledge of cooking. If you were a real chef/decent cook you would know not to constantly flip a piece of meat. There’s not two trains of thought you just have no idea how to cook a pork chop

  • well talking about your period during a cooking video is EVEN MORE DISTASTEFULL. what is it about the liberated woman that they feel they need to impose thier bodily discharges on the general public be it men or woman.. GET A CLUE YOU DISGUSTING PIG!

  • I loved your instructional video on how to brine and cook pork chops. It was really educational and helpful. However, the intro gave me a weird image to start with talking about food such as pork that can tend to be pink or bloody. I don’t know if this association was intentional but that was the effect. I get that you were trying to be funny. It’s your show so do what you want but it wasn’t working for me at all. You are very talented and I hate that most of what all the comments are about your intro and not your recipe. I get that you are trying to be entertaining. If a dude was talking about poop while he did a video on fudge I wouldn’t like that either. I guess maybe y’all just prefer low brow humor. I think that kind of humor can make you appear like you don’t really know what your doing. Although I can clearly see that you are very cable. Keep doing your thing if it makes you happy.

  • Munchies Marketing team: We got feminism spirit! Let's cater to our female audience members and show it with someone who has a real personality to show
Cara: I love working with men and talking about my period all day. Here is how to brine and cook pork chops
    Munchies: Nailed it!

Modern day edgy Feminism in a nutshell folks. Desperate to be cool. Desperate for attention. If it were my kitchen and you talked about your waste all day (guy or girl) and made nasty looking pork chops then you'd be out

  • A cooking channel that starts with 'period' discussion? Consider not being disgusting with food.
