Here’s how I make it:
Serves 6:
Food Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: about 2 hours /lb
Boston butt, is a cut of pork that comes from the upper part of the shoulder from the front leg. Sometimes it is sold with the bone in, but I prefer the boneless butt.
INGREDIENTS:
4 to 6 lbs Boston Butt
1 cup mustard
Use yellow, Dijon or any other favorite mustard. It cooks away and leaves a signature, nutty taste.
1 cup MotG Pork Seasoning
METHOD:
Fire up your smoker to 225F
Lather the meat with the mustard.
Generously sprinkle in our MotG Pork Seasoning, covering the entire area.
Now its low and slow time. Keep the heat at 225F until the internal temp hits 165F.
2 hours per pound is my rule of thumb.
If you’re using an electric smoker with a thermostat, this BBQ is as easy as it can be.
Spray pork with apple juice and wrap tightly in butcher paper. Keep it going to 195F.
Let it rest for an hour, then shred it.
Serve it with your favorite sauce and have those Kaiser buns toasted and ready.
And don’t forget those side dishes!
