this guy is the real deal…. but then He already knows that. He lives it. My hat off to you Sir.
I think I'm in the wrong place. I prefer flat dumplings over those.
Those were pretty but my Mama could make dumplings she called cloud dumplings that were light and fluffy… no gooey or hard middle
I haven't tried cream and butter in mine, and usually mix up some biscuit dough for the dumplings. Will have to try your recipe. I'd add a little pepper, bit NO veggies! Who puts those in chicken and dumplings?? The horror!! They look yummy.
Just made it!
You were not kidding. Make a double batch!
My life is now more complete thanks to this dish.
Thank you I’m going to make this for potluck.
I’ve never seen those pots in Red. I’m going get some of those.

Easy Chicken & Dumplings=== Big Pot, lots of water, Boil chicken, remove and debone, save water. chunk up chicken, shred one breast. add to saved water, bring to boil. Add one can cream of chicken soup. Add one pkg canned biscuits ripped in half (buttermilk recipe, grand biscuits NOT BUTTER RECIPE) Let boil 15 or so mins. This will thicken up the broth. Start ripping remaining biscuits into quarters and throwing into boiling broth (two or three cans over some time, you got to let them cook down some) Stir alot because biscuits will push chicken to bottom of pan and will burn if you don't move it around. Salt and pepper throught the process to taste. cook for ten mins or so after last batch of biscuits go in. Enjoy!
Where are you located I went to college in Goodwell Oklahoma 10 miles south of Guymon. Brings back good times
Wish i could like this video twice
Raised right by your mama, cause that’s the best chicken and dumplings from way back when. God bless you!
one minute and forty two seconds to start the recipe. wow. someone likes the sound of their own voice.
That looks just like the chicken and dumplings my Grandma made. I am going to try your recipe. I have tried all the other dumplings and they fall apart. 🙁
I grew up on chicken and dumplings. My grandmother made it a lot. I also boil left over turkey from Thanksgiving dinner and or Christmas dinner in chicken both and make some dumpling soup with it.
"good 'ol southern classic" with boneless chicken breasts?
Looks like an Eskimo knife, an ULU ??. And I’m Southern, they laugh at my accent – TRUTH IS YOUR SUBS LOVE TO HEAR YOU TALK
Great start, but the dumplings NEED to be bigger and fluffier. BIG!
Ha ha ..’I live in Indiana. You talk like you need to talk! Love you guys. I understand everything you speak!! II combine your recipes with my wonderful Midwest yankee recipes! And dang Kent, we might be related somehow… great stuff folks! Cat head biscuits are a close sis to your dumplings! Love your channel.. I Salute you from east central Indiana! Where corn is king!
Love this recipe! It looks like the kind my mom made. I don't believe in yellow chicken and dumplins, I don't like the dumplins that are like flat noodles, and you don't add vegetables! These are perfect! Truly a southern pot of chicken and dumplins.
(Dumplins: the southern pronunciation)
A favorite comfort food ?? ?
I love that you include a little outtake- good to know that you are human- nice personal touch ?
Thank you again, Cowboy Kent and Shannon!! I love and appreciate you both ❣️??

My Nana may have added peas and carrots to make it go further… But I do so enjoy watching y'all ???
Okay I’m from N.Y. Harlem to be exact. Mom & Dad we’re both from the south and migrated to the city. You sir, are the first that I’ve seen to make this recipe the way it should be done, Like my mom and grand parents. Chicken and dumplings only. Thank you for sharing. I can’t wait to try your recipe.
Yes, it wasn't called chicken pot pie and dumplings. lol
I will surely try this recipe if I can't find my mom's recipe! It's gotten cold here in Tucson and this is the time of year when we always used to have it ?
I have just discovered your channel and I love everything you cook! It reminds me of my Granny's cooking here in Tennessee. And I wholeheartedly agree that there shouldn't be any vegetables in the chicken and dumplings! Loved the Jethro Bodine reference too ?
