How to Grill with Lodge Cast Iron
Our recipe for Blue Ribbon Brats is a great example of how Lodge Cast Iron can expand your grilling beyond just burgers.
1. Set your grill to medium-high heat. Preheat a Lodge Dutch oven; fill will 4 12oz. cans of beer. Allow to simmer.
2. Preheat your skillet for 5 minutes.
3. Prepare your vegetables by slicing them in uniform pieces.
4. Prepare your brats by piercing them with a fork.
5. Place your brats in the simmering beer. Allow them to cook for 10 minutes.
6. Add 2 tablespoons of butter to your preheated skillet. Sauté vegetables for 5 to 7 minutes.
7. Remove your brats from the camp oven, and brown them on the grill. Don’t forget to toast your buns!
